Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in AL VocoVision - 4.0 Birmingham, AL Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications School experience Visually impaired education Sensory impairments support Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract position is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services within a school setting located in Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on providing remote instructional support and assessments to students with visual impairments, utilizing telecommunication technology to deliver tailored educational strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments via telehealth platforms. Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching plans accordingly. Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Maintaining accurate records of student interactions, assessments, and progress reports. Staying informed about best practices and advancements in visual impairment education and telehealth services.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience providing telehealth or remote educational services. Strong knowledge of visual impairment teaching strategies and assistive technologies. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educational teams. Ability to use telecommunication tools and software to facilitate instruction and assessments.
