Special Ed Teacher | Huntsville, Alabama

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Huntsville, AL, supporting elementary students in grades K-5. This contract role starts ASAP and continues through the end of the school year. The position offers a collaborative environment where teamwork and communication with fellow educators and support staff are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs Adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning requirements Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success Monitor and document student progress regularly Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary students (K-5) in a special education setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to create inclusive and supportive learning environments Commitment to student growth and individualized instruction
