Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and passion for empowering students to an exciting opportunity supporting learners at multiple grade levels. We are seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 26-27 school year. This flexible contract role offers the chance to make a difference in a collaborative, well-supported environment.
Openings are available for:
PreK Inclusion Class Special Education Teacher:
Guide up to 18 four-year-olds in a blended classroom consisting of both students with IEPs and typical peers. Two paraprofessionals provide daily assistance, ensuring teachers can focus on effective classroom management and individualized instruction. This class operates on Eastern Standard Time.
Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher:
Support students in grades K-5, managing a class of no more than 11 learners. With two paraprofessionals alongside, you can deliver tailored, engaging instruction while promoting growth and inclusion. Openings are available for both CST and EST schedules.
Secondary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher:
Make an impact with a small group of 5-10 middle school students (grades 6-8, with the possible addition of grade 5). You'll benefit from the assistance of two paraprofessionals and enjoy a class operating on Eastern Standard Time.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate) Experience creating and implementing IEPs Proven ability to adapt instruction for varying exceptionalities and grade levels Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
