Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your expertise in special education to a vibrant learning environment supporting elementary students. Serving a diverse student population, you'll have the opportunity to work in inclusion, self-contained, or behavior unit classrooms—whichever best fits your skills and interests. This is a contract position beginning August 4, 2026, and concluding May 26, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week onsite.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Special Education Teacher licensure; verify credentials here Experience or familiarity working with elementary-aged students Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with school staff and families Passion for fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere Open to working in inclusion, self-contained, or behavior unit settings as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction based on students' IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff Develop engaging lesson plans and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility Implement classroom management techniques tailored to various classroom types Track and report student progress, meeting all documentation requirements Serve as an advocate and mentor for students with diverse learning needs Communicate consistently with families to support student success This role is ideal for professionals ready to contribute meaningfully in a supportive environment, with the flexibility to find their preferred classroom fit.
