Immediate opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in a supportive school community near Roanoke, AL.
Multiple teaching roles await:
a PreK Special Education inclusion class, General Education Inclusion for elementary grades, and a Secondary Special Education self-contained classroom. You'll collaborate with paraprofessionals and dedicated support teams to foster student success.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) Experience or sincere interest in working with PreK, elementary, or middle school students with diverse learning needs Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance Ability to create engaging, individualized instructional plans Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families Positive, flexible outlook and a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction to students in PreK, K-5, or 5th-8th grade settings, depending on assignment Differentiate lessons to meet individual student needs, both in inclusion and self-contained models Work collaboratively with paraprofessional staff, other educators, and support personnel Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with IEP goals and state/district guidelines Employ a variety of instructional strategies to make learning accessible and meaningful Engage in ongoing communication with families regarding student achievements and growth Enjoy the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives while working alongside committed professionals in a nurturing atmosphere.
