Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Daycare Floater/school age teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! As a vital team member, you will provide flexible support across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Your energetic approach and positive attitude will help maintain smooth daily operations, assist with classroom activities, and support the overall development of our young learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for children from infants to preschoolers Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Engage children in play-based learning experiences that foster social skills, creativity, and curiosity Step into various classrooms to cover staff absences or during busy periods, ensuring continuous supervision and care Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency responses when necessary Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages growth, exploration, and fun Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Classroom experience managing young children's behavior through positive guidance techniques Familiarity with infant care routines such as feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not required; training can be provided if needed Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Join us in creating a joyful learning space where every child feels valued and supported!
