Job Description

Special Education Teacher Des Arc, AR 72040 Full-time Full-time Dedicated and student-centered Certified Special Education Teacher with experience developing and implementing individualized instructional programs for students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. Skilled in creating inclusive learning environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing data-driven instruction to support student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Developed and implemented Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needsDelivered differentiated instruction in academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill areasCollaborated with general education teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to support student successMonitored student progress through data collection, assessments, and progress reportsImplemented accommodations and modifications to support student access to curriculum and assessmentsMaintained compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations and documentation requirementsUtilized positive behavior intervention strategies and classroom management techniquesFacilitated IEP meetings and communicated effectively with parents and stakeholdersSupported inclusion opportunities and co-teaching models within the general education settingSupervised paraprofessionals and coordinated classroom support servicesFostered a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment focused on student growth and independence
