Bachelor's or master's degree in the subject area. A teaching license or plan for obtaining one approved by the district. A passion and love for learning and teaching students. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Resilience and a positive attitude. Superb interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. The ability to establish rapport and build professional relationships with students. A high degree of professionalism. A growth mindset.Russellville School District Teacher Responsibilities:
Following all TESS rubric "proficient" level expectations for their role. Developing lesson plans in the relevant subject area and grade and ensuring all lessons align with curriculum objectives. Drawing up classroom rules and safety regulations and ensuring all students understand them. Using a range of appropriate teaching materials and methods to deliver content. Providing additional support and interventions for struggling students and extra resources to those ahead of the class. Preparing students for tests, exams, presentations, experiments, and other assessments. Grading assessments and providing feedback and reports to students and parents. Attending and interacting in staff and parent meetings to provide helpful recommendations or voice concerns. Working at the building for the established hours of 7:45am- 4:00pm Establishing rapport and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual student needs Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during intervention Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress Collaborates and communicates to create the schedule for student services Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed Other duties as assigned.
