Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available within an early intervention program serving Pre-K students in Florence, AZ. This contract position begins immediately and offers a unique schedule consisting of multiple three-hour blocks spread throughout the week, with dedicated all-day Wednesday planning sessions. The caseload varies, with 25 students being the recommended number, allowing for focused, individualized instruction and support.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering specially designed instruction to Pre-K students with disabilities Implementing early childhood intervention strategies tailored to individual needs Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Maintaining detailed records of student progress and adapting instruction accordingly Participating in planning and professional development sessions to enhance instructional techniques
Qualifications:
Valid early childhood endorsement required to provide specially designed instruction (SDI) Experience working with young children in a special education setting, especially early intervention Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and effective intervention methods Ability to manage a flexible schedule and coordinate with other educators and therapists Excellent communication and teamwork skills Benefits of this role include engaging with young learners at a critical developmental stage, the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, and a supportive planning schedule to optimize instructional preparation.
