We're looking for an experienced plant lover to join our team and help create a welcoming, inspiring experience for every customer who walks through our doors. This position combines plant care, customer service, merchandising, and retail. You'll spend your days helping customers find the perfect plants for their homes, answering plant questions, potting plants, maintaining displays, and caring for our collection. This is an active, hands-on position. You'll be on your feet throughout the day, lifting plants and soil, helping customers, meeting plenty of dogs, and creating beautiful spaces. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys staying busy, takes pride in their work, and can work independently. Responsibilities Daily care and maintenance of houseplants, cacti, and succulents Watering and monitoring plant health Diagnosing common plant issues and confidently answering customer questions Helping customers select plants and planters Potting plants and creating arrangements Maintaining beautiful displays and keeping the shop organized Merchandising and restocking products Assisting with shipments and inventory Lifting heavy plants, pottery, and 50-pound bags of soil Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment Qualifications Strong knowledge of houseplants required Previous nursery, greenhouse, garden center, or extensive personal plant experience preferred Ability to identify common houseplants and understand watering, light, soil, and pest management Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Able to stand and move throughout the day Able to repeatedly lift heavy plants and 50-pound bags of soil Weekend availability required Comfortable limiting personal phone use during work hours and being present with customers What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who loves plants and enjoys sharing that passion with others.
