Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential support to students as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners across varied age groups. We are seeking three dedicated educators for resource roles: one at the high school level, one for K-8, and one for middle school. Each position is full-time, allowing for 40 hours of engagement weekly.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Ability to adapt curriculum and strategies to meet diverse learning needs Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative mindset Effective communication with students, staff, and families Flexibility to work in different grade levels as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide direct instructional support within resource settings for assigned grade bands Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and other school professionals Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to support growth Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations As a valued professional in this role, you'll work in a supportive educational environment alongside passionate colleagues.
