Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational and developmental needs in a dynamic school environment near Peoria, AZ. We have contract opportunities available for three dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide resource support at the high school, K-8, and middle school levels. Each role involves a full-time, 40-hour work week and offers the chance to collaborate with educators and support staff to help students thrive.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification Experience working in a school setting with students who have mild to moderate disabilities Strong communication skills for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs Provide direct instruction and resource support to students in assigned grade levels (high school, K-8, or middle school) Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure positive student outcomes Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as required Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and growth Maintain accurate records and comply with all required reporting and documentation This is a meaningful opportunity to impact students' educational journeys and support them in achieving their full potential.
