Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity to support the educational success of high school students as a Special Education Teacher. This position offers multiple openings throughout a large district, with campuses located within a 30-minute commute from key areas such as Linda Abril, Academies at South, Alhambra, BioScience, Bostrom, and Betty Fairfax. As a skilled Special Education professional, you'll serve students with diverse needs—ranging from Inclusion/SUCCESS and Practical programs to CBT and STRIVE classes. Your expertise in supporting students with emotional disabilities and other eligibility categories, together with your ability to nurture prosocial and self-regulatory skills, will be crucial in fostering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:
Hold a Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License Current K-12 Special Education Certificate Valid IVP Fingerprint Card Experience developing and implementing individualized programs aligned with federal, state, and district guidelines Familiarity with a variety of student needs, including at-risk, ethnically diverse, and English learners Comfortable working onsite (this is not a remote position) Willingness to attend CIE required training from July 21-24 and start July 27 EE.E.I. training (or willingness to participate in staff development)
