Special Ed Teacher | Phoenix, Arizona ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time | Contract 5 hours ago Qualifications Faculty collaboration Working with students Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity awaits passionate educators dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students with diverse needs. Several contract positions are now available for Special Education and Life Skills Teachers to support K-8th grade students in resource classrooms, emotional disabilities programs, and life skills environments. Multiple openings provide the flexibility to match your experience with the right classroom setting—whether working with resource students, supporting those with emotional disabilities, or helping students with significant life skills needs thrive. For those interested in providing compassionate instruction to medically fragile students, a specialized classroom offers additional support with a full-time RN and classroom assistants, ensuring a collaborative and safe learning atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility for state certification) Previous experience in special education settings such as resource, emotional disabilities, or life skills classrooms Strong collaboration skills for working with aides, nurses, and support staff Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet students at their level Effective classroom management strategies and individualized instruction experience
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's strengths and needs Deliver engaging lessons to accommodate diverse academic and behavioral requirements Work alongside support staff and nursing personnel as appropriate Foster an inclusive, positive environment for all students Maintain open lines of communication with families regarding progress Use data to inform and adjust instructional methods as needed
