Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher by guiding and supporting preschool-aged learners in an inclusive, engaging environment. This contract opportunity provides the chance to inspire growth and learning in young children with various needs while working with a dynamic team of educators. Three openings are available for early childhood special education teachers who will provide instruction to cross-categorical Pre-K classrooms. Each role involves managing morning and afternoon groups, with support from two instructional assistants per session. You'll have approximately 24 students on your caseload, ensuring individualized attention and meaningful progress for each learner. School is in session four days a week for students, while teachers work a comprehensive five-day schedule for prep and collaboration.
Key Qualifications:
Certification in Special Education (Early Childhood endorsement preferred) Experience with IEP development and case management Strong understanding of cross-categorical teaching approaches Ability to collaborate effectively with assistants, families, and support staff Passion for fostering inclusive and nurturing learning environments
Responsibilities:
