Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire lasting change in the lives of elementary students as a special education professional in a dedicated, self-contained behavior program. This full-time opportunity offers you the chance to support students in 3rd, 4th, or 6th grade who face challenges related to Other Health Impairment (including ADHD and ODD), autism, and emotional disabilities, all within an environment designed for their unique behavioral needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid educator certification and current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required at the time of application Demonstrated experience delivering instruction in self-contained behavior classrooms Understanding of the needs of students whose behavioral difficulties impact academic progress Ability to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions Skillful collaboration with support staff, therapists, and families Adaptable, patient, and proactive teaching approach
Role Overview:
Serve as the classroom lead for a caseload of 10-15 students, primarily in either 3rd, 4th, or 6th grade Deliver tailored academic instruction that supports both cognitive and behavioral growth Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with special education requirements Track student progress and adjust interventions accordingly Promote a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment Work collaboratively with behavioral specialists to address student needs Communicate regularly with family members and multidisciplinary team members This contract position is scheduled from August 2026 to May 2027 and is entirely onsite.
