Special Ed Teacher | Scottsdale, Arizona Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Scottsdale, AZ Job Details Contract Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Working with students Working with students with special education needs Special Education Certification Teaching Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher position is available in Scottsdale, AZ, to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varying disability needs and ensure inclusive classroom participation. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress. Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and growth to inform instruction and reporting. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment that promotes student development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working with students with a range of disabilities. Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance with special education laws. Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff. Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work independently within a school team.
