Special Education Teacher in Surprise, AZ Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Surprise, AZ Job Details Contract 6 days ago Benefits Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications School experience Special education for elementary school students Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a structured K-2 classroom as a Special Education Teacher. This onsite position runs from August 2026 through May 2027 and is ideal for educators who are passionate about providing meaningful instruction and fostering student growth within a positive learning environment. As part of your role, you will: Serve as the lead teacher in a structured classroom for grades K-2 Deliver direct instruction tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) Oversee case management responsibilities for students on IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements Develop and implement a full continuum of special education services Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all students assigned Consult and collaborate in the RtI (Response to Intervention) process Facilitate ongoing, effective communication with parents and guardians Support behavior management and implement individualized behavior intervention plans Collaborate with school staff to apply accommodations and modifications throughout the school environment Prioritize safety by cultivating a secure and nurturing classroom Take on additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
