Job Description

Special Education Teacher for a 16‑week travel assignment in Surprise, Arizona. The role involves delivering individualized instruction to K‑12 or preschool students with special needs. Collaborating with teachers and families to implement IEP goals and maintaining accurate documentation to support student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instructional support to K‑12 or preschool students with special needs, following IEP goals and educational standards. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and accommodations. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavioral incidents, and instructional activities in accordance with district policies. Execute classroom management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Assess student needs regularly and adjust instructional plans to promote academic and social‑emotional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or equivalent. Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE), Arizona FP card, CPR certification, First Aid certification, Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, NCI Training Certificate, Food Handlers Card, Valid driver's license. Minimum 1 year of experience working with K‑12 or preschool special education students. Valid Social Security Card, strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and reliable transportation.
