What we're looking for: Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements must be met) Experience working in a self-contained classroom or with students with special needs Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs Strong communication and organizational abilities Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback Adaptability to support diverse learning needs Ability to maintain a positive and patient attitude Key responsibilities: Deliver instruction and support for students with varying abilities in a self-contained setting Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess students' strengths and areas for growth, adapting lessons to meet their unique needs Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure well-rounded care and progress Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with school and district guidelines Create an encouraging, safe, and structured classroom that promotes student confidence and independence This is a full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week), offering the chance to work with an enthusiastic, resourceful team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
