$54,770 - $60,550 (DOE) Position Overview Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a high-performing network of Arizona public charter schools committed to providing rigorous academics and strong character development for scholars in underserved communities. We are seeking a mission-driven Special Education Resource Teacher to provide targeted academic support and specially designed instruction to scholars receiving special education services. This role focuses on supporting scholars in both push-in and pull-out service models, collaborating closely with general education teachers, and ensuring scholars receive the accommodations, interventions, and progress monitoring needed to succeed in the general education curriculum. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Intervention Provide small-group and individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals and Arizona standards. Deliver targeted academic interventions in literacy, math, and executive functioning. Implement accommodations and modifications within general education classrooms through push-in support. Monitor student progress using assessment data and adjust interventions to accelerate growth. Maintain accurate documentation of services, accommodations, and progress toward IEP goals. IEP Development & Compliance Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Prepare progress reports and maintain compliance with IDEA and Arizona state regulations. Facilitate IEP meetings and collaborate with families to support student success. Coordinate with related service providers and campus leadership to ensure comprehensive support. Collaboration & Professional Growth Partner with general education teachers to support differentiation and inclusive practices. Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), weekly meetings, and professional development. Support schoolwide MTSS and intervention systems. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aligned to AMS network expectations. Classroom Culture & Student Support Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Use PBIS and preventative strategies to support social-emotional development and positive behavior. Build strong relationships with scholars and families to support academic success. Minimum Qualifications Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (or ability to obtain) Bachelor's degree in Education OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least two years of K-8 teaching experience Ability to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience working with diverse learners, including Title I and ESL populations Strong data analysis and progress-monitoring skills Commitment to implementing structured, research-based curriculum Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner with general education teachers and lead interventions Compensation & Benefits AMS offers a competitive compensation package designed to support educator success and growth.Base Salary:
