Executive Director or Designee Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Special Education Administrator. Provides specialized academic instruction to students with learning and other disabilities to optimize student learning. Plans, delivers and evaluates instruction based upon specific standards and objectives as indicated in each student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Performs in compliance with instructional program guidelines and legal requirements of IDEA and Federal regulations. Contacts are made within and outside of the school system; may require handling of sensitive information and/or dealing tactfully with others.
JOB DUTIES
Provides direct support to students by delivering instruction and ensuring learning through a variety of teaching models and strategies. Ensure appropriate accommodations to the curriculum, lessons and learning environment. Designs activities and lessons with multiple levels so that all students both meet their IEP goals as well as access the general education curriculum. Formally and informally assess the student learning (rather than relying solely on standardized curriculum) to create a comprehensive learning program) Set high expectations that are suitable for students. Assessments may be differentiated based on each individual education plan. This may require developing alternative assessments Work collaboratively with ESes and other staff to plan and ensure that instruction is aligned with identified common core curriculum and standards Prepare and maintain confidential records and files Other duties as assigned

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, PowerPoint and Word processing software.

This position has flexible hours with most student interactions being one-on-one and small group. Comments and Other Information Hybrid, in-person (Union City) and remote. Candidate must reside within the East Bay area. $1,000 Master's Degree stipend, $2,000 Doctorate stipend, and health benefits available. Full-time benefit allotment of $1,500/month for medical, vision, and dental/Part-time allotment $750
