This full-time, contract role focuses on working with students with moderate to severe support needs. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide individualized instruction, manage IEPs, and support holistic student development throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching credential (moderate/severe focus preferred) Proven experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to case manage multiple students and balance paperwork with instruction Enthusiasm for differentiated teaching and a commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized instruction to students identified with moderate to severe disabilities Case manage IEPs, including scheduling, leading meetings, and ensuring goal progress and documentation are up to date Work closely with families, classroom staff, and related service providers to deliver tailored supports Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of data sources and adjust instructional approaches as needed Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
