Job Description

EMIT Learning is looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work on our school campus in Burbank, CA for the coming school year of 2026-27 . and other location in nearby areas for full-time / full year position. Burbank, Glandale & Los Angeles, CA Age Group:
TBD Start:
August 10, 2026 (Tentative) End date: June 2027 Total hours: 35 - 40 hours per week (will include 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Required License/Certification:
Mild-Mod or Mod-Severe. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on students' IEPs and specific learning needs. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive classroom behavior and engagement. Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support in their learning journey. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education, including Deaf education and behavioral therapy techniques. Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress towards IEP goals.
