Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting an elementary mild-to-moderate caseload for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity is based onsite, where you'll be delivering specialized instruction and services in a dynamic educational setting. Full-time hours provide the chance to be deeply involved in your students' academic, social, and emotional growth alongside a collaborative staff.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (California) Successful experience working with elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Effective communication skills with students, families, and classroom teams Flexibility, organization, and a positive approach to supporting diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized educational plans for students aligned with IEPs Adapt curriculum to ensure access for all learners and meet instructional goals Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Work collaboratively with general educators, specialists, and instructional aides Engage in IEP meetings, family conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that nurtures student growth
