The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special care needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families by promoting independence, safety, dignity, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support based on each client's individualized care plan. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients with community integration, recreational activities, and social engagement. Implement behavioral support strategies and follow established care protocols. Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and daily activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Communicate effectively with family members, supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams. Assist with medication reminders, if authorized and trained. Provide transportation to appointments, school, community activities, or other approved destinations when required. Qualifications Previous experience caring for individuals with special needs is required. Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or behavioral challenges is highly preferred. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in all situations. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (preferred). Ability to pass background screening and other employment requirements. CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Hiring requirements All candidates must be prepared to complete the following before their start date.
