School Age Teacher

Job Overview We are seeking a caring, reliable, energetic and dedicated school age teacher to work with elementary-aged students in our after-school program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, creating engaging activities and providing a safe, supportive environment. This position also transitions to full-time hours during elementary school breaks, including holidays and summers. Applicants MUST have 12 Early Childhood Education units. Applicants MUST have a VALID form of identification. Applicants MUST pass a criminal background clearance. Responsibilities Follow all licensing regulations and school policies. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times. Supervise and engage elementary-aged children in a safe and nurturing environment. Creative and proactive in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities (arts & crafts, games, homework support, outdoor play) Dependable and punctual Maintain a structured daily schedule while allowing for creativity and fun. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to build strong relationships. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, organized learning space. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and best practices in early childhood education. Provide guidance and support to students in their social and emotional development. Experience High school diploma required. Early Childhood Education or Child Development units required. Proven experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting is preferred. Ability to create a fun, structured and engaging environment. Familiarity with childcare principles and practices is essential. Experience in lesson planning and classroom management techniques is highly desirable. Background in private school settings is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
