Special Education Teacher - Mild/Mod in
El Cajon, CA Start Date:
8/10/26-6/16/27
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours paid per week plus an unpaid 30 minute lunch, hours could be between 7:30am - 4:00pm
Pay:
$50-53/hour pay rate, paid weekly
Location:
100% on-site, remote not available

W-2, Full-Time Contract About the Role Inclusive Learning Partners is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers in El Cajon, CA . Ideal candidates are experienced, proactive, collaborative, and committed to providing individualized, high-quality instruction and care. The Special Education Teacher SPED is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate educational services in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role involves collaborating with other educators, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
Site Information :
This is a 90/10 dual immersion Spanish school. All students are educated within the general education setting, with special education services primarily provided through an SAI push-in and pull-out model. The school is very inclusion-focused and strongly believe in identifying the right supports so students can thrive alongside their peers in the general education environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential, Mild/Moderate or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Knowledge of IDEA and the California Education Code Experience designing and implementing IEPs Due to the nature of school's programming and school population, they would prefer the candidates be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Proficiency in research-based instructional strategies and positive behavioral interventions Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
IEP & Assessment Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and California Education Code Conduct formal and informal assessments including Triennials (two scheduled: Nov & June) Use data to guide instruction and progress monitoring Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation Instructional Support Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction using evidence-based strategies Provide direct small-group and 1:1 instruction with accommodations and modifications Collaborate with general education staff and service providers to implement supports Design differentiated instruction to meet a variety of student needs Behavior Support Implement and monitor BIPs as needed Use positive behavioral strategies to promote student engagement and success Foster a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Communication & Collaboration Maintain consistent communication with families Work closely with instructional aides, therapists, and school staff Attend school-site meetings Maintain timely and confidential records, logs, and reports Professionalism & Compliance Ensure all compliance and service documentation is up to date Engage in professional development aligned with special education best practices Uphold district, state, and federal regulations and timelines Employee Perks and Benefits Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Chiropractic Insurance Paid Sick Time, PTO & Holiday Pay CEU Reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Referral bonuses Supportive and responsive team (Benefits eligibility may vary depending on employment status) Why Work with Inclusive Learning Partners?
