As our agency continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused professional to join our team as a Care Experience & Recruitment Specialist / Recruiter . This is more than a recruiting role. This position plays a vital role in caregiver experience, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, retention, staffing support, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is compassionate, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and accountability matter. Position Summary The Care Experience & Recruitment Specialist / Recruiter is responsible for overseeing the full recruitment and onboarding process for caregivers, home care aides, and support staff while supporting caregiver retention, compliance, care coordination, and operational success. This role serves as a liaison between caregivers, clients, families, scheduling, compliance, payroll, and leadership teams to help ensure high-quality care delivery, operational efficiency, and audit-ready documentation. The right candidate will be outgoing, professional, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while representing the company positively throughout the community. Training will take place at our Mission Gorge Headquarters in San Diego. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Sourcing Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract caregivers, home care aides, and support staff Post job openings on Indeed, MyCNA, job boards, referrals, and community resources Attend job fairs, networking events, schools, and community outreach events to build caregiver pipelines Build relationships with schools, training programs, and referral sources Maintain recruitment advertising budgets and track recruiting performance metrics Ensure timely follow-up with applicants to maintain engagement Screening & Interviewing Review applications and conduct phone screenings Conduct structured in-person and virtual interviews Assess candidate qualifications, professionalism, reliability, and cultural fit Verify work history, references, and caregiver qualifications Collaborate with leadership on hiring decisions Compliance & Onboarding Ensure all candidates meet California home care requirements and company standards
Verify:
HCA Registration TB Clearance Background Checks / Live Scan Identification Documents Driver's License & Insurance (if applicable) Coordinate with compliance department to maintain audit-ready employee files Manage onboarding, orientations, and caregiver documentation Maintain accurate records in WellSky and internal systems Track expirations and renewals for TB, HCA, and compliance items Stay informed on CDSS, DSS, DHCS, and labor law updates Training & Orientation Assist with caregiver orientation and onboarding in English and Spanish Educate caregivers on: Company policies Compliance requirements Care standards and expectations Documentation requirements Provide support and guidance throughout onboarding process Reinforce ongoing education and best practices Care Coordination & Staffing Support Work closely with Scheduling, Compliance, Client Care Coordinators, and Operations teams Help anticipate staffing needs and support continuity of care Coordinate Start of Care (SOC) processes as needed Support caregiver retention and engagement initiatives Address attendance concerns, caregiver issues, and staffing challenges proactively Serve as a point of contact for caregivers, clients, and families when needed Documentation, Auditing & Reporting Maintain accurate and organized caregiver files Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance and audit readiness Prepare reports on: Recruitment performance Hiring metrics Caregiver retention Compliance status Track trends, gaps, and process improvement opportunities Support audit preparation and state inspections Administrative & Operational Support Perform data entry and maintain accurate system documentation Answer phones, emails, and assist with communication flow Support daily office operations and special projects Assist leadership with operational initiatives and workflow improvements QualificationsRequired 2+ years of recruiting, staffing, healthcare, or home care experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation Preferred Experience recruiting caregivers or healthcare professionals Knowledge of California Home Care regulations Familiarity with CDSS, DSS, DHCS, and HCA Registry requirements Experience with WellSky or similar systems Knowledge of San Diego and Imperial County communities and workforce Key Competencies Compassionate and people-oriented Professional and dependable Detail-oriented and compliance-focused Proactive problem solver Adaptable and flexible Strong team player Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally Strong written and verbal communication skills Working ConditionsWork Environment Primarily office-based role Combination of office work, field visits, and community outreach Occasional travel throughout San Diego & Imperial County Frequent interaction with applicants, caregivers, staff, clients, and community partners Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods of time (8hrs - 12hr) Frequent computer and phone use Standing and walking during interviews, orientations, and recruitment events Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay (DOE) Performance-Based Bonuses Paid Sick Leave Ongoing Professional Development & Training Growth & Advancement Opportunities Supportive Team Environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community Why Join Us?
