Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will deliver high-quality, individualized instruction that promotes student growth and independence. This role requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and general education staff to design and implement effective student programs, including specialized instruction, academic support, and behavioral interventions.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM•3:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Contract Length:
August 13, 2026•June 9, 2027 Key Responsibilities Provide individualized and small group instruction for students with significant support needs Develop and implement IEP-aligned lesson plans and functional life skills programming Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and families Support student development in academic, behavioral, and functional skill areas Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet student goals Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations Foster an inclusive, structured, and supportive classroom environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (preferred) Valid state teaching certification as required by district or state regulations Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred Preferred certifications: Standard Elementary Teaching Standard Secondary Teaching Standard Special Education Teaching Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred Strong understanding of special education practices and compliance standards Current CPR certification (if applicable) TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if required) Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Amergis Benefits At Amergis, we are committed to supporting your professional and personal success: Competitive weekly pay Health, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holiday pay eligibility Licensing and certification reimbursement Continuing education and professional development Referral bonus programs Dedicated recruiter and ongoing support Why Join Amergis?
