Art Teacher - Drawing/Coloring/Handcrafting (Special needs student focus)

Job Description:

We are seeking a patient and caring Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic skills in our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a deep understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, providing individualized instruction, and nurturing a supportive learning environment for students of various ages and abilities. Responsibilities Teach small group or 1:1 art lessons Prepare fun, age-appropriate, and ability-appropriate art activities Provide guidance and positive reinforcement Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment Communicate with parents and studio staff as needed Experienced working with special needs kids will be a plus• RBT is a plus• Who We Are Looking For Loves working with children (ages 3-18) Experience teaching art classes (drawing, painting, craft, mixed media, etc.) Experience working with special needs students is strongly preferred Having worked as a Behavioral Technician (BT/RBT) is a plus Positive attitude, reliable, patient, and good communication skills Able to follow teaching guidelines but also bring personal creativity into the lessons Why Join Us Supportive team environment Opportunities to work with both typical and special needs students Flexible schedule Competitive pay Training and growth opportunities available
