Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and schools as a Special Education Teacher in San Mateo, CA. Covering a leave of absence, you'll play a key role as an RSP (Resource Specialist Program) teacher, collaborating with staff and families to help students reach their goals. Qualifications:
Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (active, with a screenshot of CTC included in your application) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or with RSP preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to modify instruction to meet diverse needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students identified for RSP services Develop, implement, and monitor effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families Track student progress and maintain accurate records Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom atmosphere
