Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students in specialized classroom settings near Coalinga, CA. Both travelers and local professionals are encouraged to apply to contribute their expertise and dedication to inclusive learning environments.
There are two roles available:
one working with a Mild/Moderate SDC classroom supporting grades 4-5, and another focused on an Extensive Support Needs (ESN) classroom for grades 9-12. The school offers an inclusive and collaborative workplace where educators can truly make a difference.
Qualifications:
Valid California Teaching Credential (CTC) with authorizations in Mild/Moderate AND Moderate/Severe Previous experience in special education settings, particularly within SDC or ESN classrooms, preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices Excellent communication skills with both students and staff Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals Deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards and student abilities Foster a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families Utilize ongoing assessment data to inform instruction and document student progress Encourage self-advocacy, independence, and social skills among students Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required If you are ready to make a meaningful contribution to a diverse student population and are passionate about inclusive education, this opportunity could be the next step in your career.
