Job Description

The Special Education Teacher, under the supervision of the Special Education Program Administrator, delivers high-quality instructional and support services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This role emphasizes collaboration, with a strong focus on contributing to team-based planning and execution of student programs, including specialized instruction, academic support, and consultation with general education staff.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred) + Valid state teaching certification in accordance with state and district requirements + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred) + State certifications in Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education (preferred) + LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) endorsement or equivalent (preferred) + Adherence to all professional standards of practice + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB screening or chest X-ray, as required + Current health certificate per state or contract guidelines + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Position Details•+ •
