Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification (California credential preferred) Experience working with students who have special needs across a variety of ages or disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt to changing classroom dynamics and individualize instruction Commitment to fostering student growth, advocacy, and independence Comfortable working onsite for a full-time 37.5 hour work week
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to students with exceptional needs Develop and implement IEPs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Assess students' academic and functional performance and adjust strategies to meet goals Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and timely reports Communicate regularly with families, paraprofessionals, and school staff Create a supportive, engaging classroom setting Participate actively in ongoing professional development and team meetings Additional specific duties and caseload information will be provided This onsite role begins August 11, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, aligning with the school year calendar.
