Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Marysville, CA, serving students with moderate to severe disabilities. This contract role supports a Special Day Class within a public school setting, starting ASAP through the end of the school year. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of 10-15 students, developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and executing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). The teacher will lead and coach a team of 5-9 paraeducators, ensuring effective classroom management and student support.
Qualifications and experience required:
Active California Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) teaching credential Prior experience working in an ESN Special Day Class Proven ability to write IEPs and implement BIPs Strong leadership skills for managing paraeducators Familiarity with special education best practices and student-centered instruction
