Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and services tailored to visually impaired students on your caseload. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with accommodations and modifications. Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Assist in making up compensatory time as part of the role's flexible scheduling.
Qualifications:
Valid California Education Specialist Credential in Visual Impairments (VI) required. Experience working with visually impaired K-12 students preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work 5-20 hours per week with flexibility. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
