Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract A part-time position is available for a qualified teacher specializing in visual impairments to support students during the 2026/2027 school year. This opportunity is requiring in-person attendance and commitment to approximately 8-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

Providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments to enhance their learning and independence. Collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials. Utilizing assessment tools to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Implementing assistive technology and teaching orientation and mobility skills. Participating in meetings and professional development focused on visual impairment education.

Qualifications:

Must hold valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure. Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to develop and modify instructional materials and strategies. Commitment to student-centered teaching and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
