Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Support Professionals to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with adults and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy techniques and support their growth and development. Your primary focus will be on providing patient care, collecting data, and maintaining accurate medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct behavioral support in home and community settings. Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and ISP objectives in alignment with Title 17 guidelines. Collect and record behavioral data; report outcomes to the Behavior Specialist / BCBA.
Teach daily living skills:
meal prep, hygiene, home organization, money management, transportation use, etc. Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care practices to maintain safety. Reinforce positive behaviors and model communication skills—including American Sign Language (ASL) when applicable. Assist with community integration, medical appointments, and social activities. Participate in team meetings, training, and case reviews. Complete shift notes, incident reports, and documentation through Smart Care or designated systems. Maintain confidentiality and comply with Zero Tolerance, HIPAA, and DDS requirements. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; AA/BA in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field preferred. Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or enrollment in RBT training program. At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral needs. Valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Ability to pass Live Scan background check, TB test, and CPR/First Aid certification. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and data collection methods. Training in crisis intervention (CPI, PRO-ACT, or NCI). Knowledge of Title 17 regulations, Regional Center systems, and Positive Behavior Support principles.
