The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This role is essential in supporting the academic and social development of students, ensuring they receive the individualized attention necessary to thrive. Duties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and other subjects, using various teaching methods. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages communication and collaboration among students. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure effective learning outcomes. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support students' development both academically and socially. Utilize knowledge of childhood development and special education best practices to enhance teaching effectiveness. Provide support for students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and accommodations. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with children in private school settings, daycare, or Montessori environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is essential; familiarity with various learning challenges is a plus. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed are critical attributes for this role.
