Job Description

Position:
Early Intervention Specialist (Entry Level, Part Time)
Areas:
San Francisco County and San Mateo County Compensation:
$30 - 40 per hour depending upon qualifications, bilingual in Spanish or Cantonese is a plus!
Hours:
15-25 hours a week ABC Special Start, division of the Association of Behavior Consultants (ABC), is seeking teachers for its Intensive Developmental Skills Training program. ABC Special Start supports the development of children 0-3 at risk for developmental delay through comprehensive family centered, culturally competent, and developmentally appropriate services. Our program recognizes the importance of early primary infant-parent relationships as foundational in the achievement of enhanced social, emotional, and learning development. Key components of our program include Early Intervention 1:1 Services, Play based interventions, Developmental skills programming, Parenting Education and Coaching. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Implementation of all developmental goals Implementation of preventative and reactive strategies outlined through the goal outcomes Ongoing evaluation of progress toward goals and objectives Reporting progress to the Program Supervisors, and/or Clinical Director Data collection on all developmental goals and skills Maintaining developmental checklists Development and implementation of lesson plans Having fun because these are little ones! •Bilingual in Spanish/English or Cantonese/English a plus!! Home teachers fall under the direct supervision of a Program Specialist, the Clinical Director, and the corresponding Area Director.
Qualifications for this position include:
B.A. /B.S.
in Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or related field Or child development units or RBT certification Experience with children 0-3 and families
Early Childhood Education:
1 year (Preferred) Experience working with developmentally delayed populations Experience in parent education/parent training An engaging high energy teaching and interaction style Clearance of background check, fingerprints, and T.B. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of professionals, and in multiple settings Highly organized with files and documentation, and able to turn in paperwork in a timely manner Must have own reliable transportation including valid drivers license and up to date car insurance.
