Footprint Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Education Specialists (Moderate/Severe) to support students in K-12 school settings. As an Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating a supportive learning environment where students can develop academic, social-emotional, communication, and independent living skills. You will work closely with families, therapists, paraprofessionals, and school teams to ensure students receive the individualized support they need to succeed. Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with academic, behavioral, communication, and functional goals. Adapt curriculum, teaching methods, and classroom materials to meet diverse student needs. Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student success. Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals. Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, school psychologists, behavior specialists, and general education staff. Lead and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences. Provide guidance and support to instructional aides and paraprofessionals. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field. Active Education Specialist Credential with Moderate/Severe authorization (or equivalent state certification). Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred. Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and special education compliance requirements. Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, and complex learning needs. Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Passion for helping students achieve their highest level of independence and success.
