The terms and conditions under which an Accelerated Resource Teacher is employed shall be mutually agreed upon by the employee and the Governing Board, and such agreement shall be reduced to writing. Such agreement shall specify the number of hours to be worked per day and days to be worked per week, as well as the length of the work year. Any such agreement may be terminated by the Governing Board in its sole discretion, with or without cause and for any reason satisfactory to the Governing Board. Job Description /

Essential Elements:

Print Accelerated Resource Teachers are paid a daily rate of $225.00. If serving as a substitute teacher on a day scheduled to serve as an ART, the pay is calculated at $145.00 per day. If serving as a substitute teacher on a day on which the individual is not scheduled to serve as an ART, the normal rate, as indicated on the district Substitute Salary Schedule, will apply. Service days as an ART do not count as credit towards advancement on the Substitute Salary Schedule unless the ART is serving as a substitute teacher.
