Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Animal Care Specialist, where your passion for animal welfare and hands-on experience will make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care, and ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help promote the health and well-being of a diverse range of animals, from cats to dogs of all shapes and sizes . This paid position offers an exciting opportunity animal handling skills. Responsibilities Provide daily care and supervision for animals, including feeding, grooming if needed, exercise, and enrichment activities Medication administration Handle animals of all sizes on a leash. Patient check-ins/ check outs, and client communication. Animal handling tasks such as bringing animals into the kennel for their stay, moving animals from their kennel to an outdoor play space and back to their kennel multiple times a day and getting cats in and out of their carriers. Ensure cleanliness of kennels and facility. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with other staff helpers. Be able to self motivate and work alone. Qualifications Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; familiarity with pet care routines is essential. Veterinary clinic or assistant experience is a plus. Hands-on experience with animal restraint, medication administration, and pet handling techniques. Strong understanding of animal behaviors. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of hygiene at the facility.
