Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting an inclusive learning environment in Lancaster, CA. You'll have a chance to make a meaningful impact, guiding students aged 5-22 with mild to moderate or moderate to severe needs. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) starting as soon as possible or in time for Extended School Year on June 15th, with ongoing potential and a single open position. As a valued educator on this caseload, you'll play a key role in empowering students to reach their fullest potential-while enjoying competitive pay between $40-$55 per hour.
Ideal candidates will bring:
A valid California credential for either mild/moderate or moderate/severe special education (required) Experience supporting students with a range of learning, cognitive, or behavioral needs The ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies for individual student goals Strong communication and collaboration skills with both classroom staff and families Commitment to maintaining a positive, nurturing classroom environment Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Modifying curriculum and instruction according to each student's abilities Working closely with multidisciplinary support teams Tracking and reporting on student progress Creating engaging classroom activities that foster independence and confidence Providing guidance and supervision for classroom aides as needed This contract enables you to make a genuine difference, while being part of a collaborative school community dedicated to supporting every learner.
