Special Ed Teacher | South San Francisco, California Go Spindle - 2.0 South San Francisco, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $55 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a direct impact on students' lives as a Special Education Teacher supporting a dedicated middle school resource program. Located conveniently near South San Francisco, this full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13th through the end of the 2026-27 school year. As part of a collaborative educational environment, you'll work with a manageable caseload of 28 students, focusing on mild to moderate needs and creating lasting change for learners at a crucial stage of development. What we're looking for: Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (required) Experience supporting middle school students in a resource specialist program (RSP) setting Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organizational strengths to manage caseload documentation and compliance within deadlines Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment In this role, you will: Develop and implement individualized instruction for students with mild to moderate disabilities, ensuring alignment with IEP goals Work closely with students, classroom teachers, and related service providers to promote student success Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records to monitor student progress Support families in understanding special education processes and student needs Participate in IEP meetings and professional development to stay current on best practices Maintain all compliance and documentation in line with state and federal guidelines Enjoy competitive pay between $40 and $55 per hour while making a difference in a vibrant educational setting.
