This full-time contract position is ideal for someone experienced as both a Special Education Teacher and a Case Manager, eager to make a significant difference near Whittier, CA. In this role, you'll work with students requiring moderate to severe support, helping them reach their personal and academic milestones. As a valued team member, you'll deliver individualized instruction and case management, collaborating closely with staff and families. What you'll bring: Valid Special Education teaching credential (mod/severe emphasis preferred) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Background in case management for students with disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities Serve as a case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with IEPs and required documentation Assess students' needs and monitor progress, using data to inform teaching strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and paraprofessionals Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training You will have the chance to work in a supportive environment where your expertise is valued and your impact is tangible.
