About SkyAbove Therapy:
SkyAbove is a specialized, clinician-led agency that understands the unique needs of schools. We don't just "fill seats" we provide Real Educational Leadership . Our team supports you with the resources, IEP goal banks, and behavioral strategies you need to thrive in school environments so you never feel like you are on an island.
The Position & Campus Context:
We are actively interviewing for a Resource Specialist (RSP) to join a highly collaborative special education team. This is a fantastic campus environment with approximately 650 total students and a total IEP count of just 72 students. You will be one of three RSPs splitting this load, ensuring a highly manageable and supportive workload. Instead of being isolated in a separate classroom all day, this role is heavily focused on a push-in intervention model , actively co-teaching and supporting students directly within their general education Math and ELA classrooms.
Role Details & Responsibilities:
Setting:
Grades 9-12.
Caseload:
Strictly capped at a maximum of 28 pupils (average is closer to 24 based on the 3-teacher team split).
Instruction:
Provide push-in intervention and collaborative support in general education Math and ELA classrooms.
Case Management:
Manage IEP development, service tracking, progress monitoring, and lead IEP meetings for your assigned caseload.
Requirements:
Valid California Single Subject Educational Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate) authorizing teaching in grades 9-12. EL/CLAD Authorization Required.
  • Note for
Out-of-State Candidates:
If you hold an equivalent out-of-state credential but lack EL/CLAD, you will still be strongly considered provided you agree to apply for emergency authorization and obtain the required EL/CLAD clearance within one year of hiring.
