Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IEP teams to create individualized education plans addressing students' communication and academic needs Adapt curriculum materials for accessibility, using visual and hands-on learning strategies Implement effective teaching methods, including sign language, visual aids, and technology Facilitate communication using ASL or other sign systems to ensure student understanding Support language and literacy development through interactive, tailored activities Develop and implement strategies to support students in crisis situations, ensuring safety and well-being
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field Active state-level licensure and/or certification OR ability to obtain Special Education Certification Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working in schools or with children is required Come join a therapist-owned organization that values your expertise and supports you throughout the school year.
