Job Title:
Special Education Teacher (K-12)Position Overview:
- The Special Education Teacher provides high-quality instructional services to students with diverse learning needs in a K-12 setting. This role focuses on supporting student growth through individualized instruction, collaboration with school staff, and implementation of effective educational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- + Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student individualized education programs (IEPs) + Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs + Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success + Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of IEPs + Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation + Provide instruction in a variety of settings, including small groups, one-on-one, and inclusive classrooms + Promote a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations •
Required Qualifications:
- + Valid
- State Special Education (SPED) Teaching License

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
- + Knowledge of IEP development and implementation + Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- + At least one year of experience in a teaching or school setting + Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students + Additional certifications or endorsements in special education or related areas
Additional Requirements:
- + Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements + Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings, and clearances + Minimum age requirement of 18 years
